Cusco Colours

This was taken in a market outside Cusco, Peru.

A place where colour doesn’t just decorate, it speaks. 

The layers of woven blankets, bags, and tapestries hit you all at once with their depth and richness. 

Every piece is handmade, and you can feel the time behind them. Weeks, sometimes months of work, thread by thread.

What struck me most wasn’t just how bold the colours were, but how much they seemed to carry. The tradition, skill, and an unspoken pride. 

It’s not a curated display. It’s real, lived-in, and loud in the best way.

The man barely looked up, just kept working, like this was another normal day.

But standing there, surrounded by this wall of texture and pattern, it didn’t feel normal at all.
