Just for a Moment, He Flew Too

I watched this man step into the square with a plastic bottle in one hand, and without hesitation, he threw his arms open wide and mimicked the pigeons that swarmed around him. 

He wasn’t performing for anyone, he was just caught in his own joy, completely present, like a kid who forgot the world was watching.

There was no crowd, no stage. Just a man and a moment. It reminded me how little it takes to feel free.

His energy was raw, unfiltered. He wasn’t looking for attention, he just was, and that honesty hit me harder than any performance could.

He probably didn’t realise it, but in that brief moment, he gave something to everyone who saw him. A kind of permission to let go, to laugh, to not care how you look for a second. 

That kind of freedom is contagious. Watching him, it felt like the world got a little lighter.
